I have to wonder if sometimes we do as women. We do have modern conveniences but there seems to be a growing threat to take away those rights that were already acknowledged by the feds. I think we're going to see a bigger schism once Obama leaves office in another 4 years. The GOP is going to attempt to crush the Dems. I liken it to the emperor overpowering the rebel alliance in Empire Strikes Back. I think women will have equality stripped but the GOP will be slick about it. I think Roe V. Wade will be decimated. I think Gays will be shoved back into closets so fast it will make our head spin. And I think the GOP will make a return to McCarthyism as a breathtaking speed.

Those deep right wing politicians and their supporters will scream like banshees about Christianity, this country will be sent back to war to "protect our freedom" and no matter the public outcry, the massive protests, we will be ignored, just as we are now. The only difference is our buffer (Obama) will be gone and the GOP will take over the Washington and the Eye of Sauron will be over the White House.
